Holes
in One
James Tristram (seen above)
became the first Golfer at the SBS Society to have a hole in one.
He accompished this on the 15th Hole at Little Lakes on 30th July 2012
at the SBS Open, with a seven iron. (See his card below showing the
feat)
As the 15th was th designated hole to win a prize of £100 also, he walked off with a handsome bit of loot aswell. It was his first time at one of events. Since we started the Society in 1994 we have never witnessed a hole in one.
James who is the son of co-organiser Paul Tristram said he would like to buy every one a pet goldfish and with the money left over, purchase ten ton of Jelly babies and eat them in 15 minutes.
Interestingly enough though Keith Allen did knock his first ball out of bounds on the old 9th Hole at the 1999 Classic at Little Lakes, before holing out for a three.
Needless to say this did not count, but just a silly fact anyway.
